The Munich-Born mezzo-soprano Susan Zarrabi has been a member of the ensemble at the Komische Oper Berlin since the 2022/23 Season, where she has performed roles such as Dorabella in W.A.Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte, Cherubino in W.A.Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Hänsel in E.Humperdinck‘s Hänsel und Gretel and Nefertiti in P. Glass‘ Akhnaten among others. In the current 2025/2 season, she will portrait such roles as Page in R.Strauss’ Salome and Sonjetka in D.Schostakowitsch’ Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk.

She has appeared at leading European venues such as the Semperoper Dresden, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Bayerische Staatsoper, the Philharmonie Berlin and the Wiener Festwochen.

Her concert repertoire spans epochs of masses, oratorios and passions. In December 2025 she will make her Debut at the Kulturpalast Dresden in L.v.Beethoven’s Symphony No.9 with the Dresdner Philharmonics under the Baton of Sakari Oramo.

The award-winning Lied-singer Susan Zarrabi can regularly be heard in recitals, some of which include cooperations with Gerold Huber such as 2026 at the Pierre Boulez Hall in Berlin.
